It's that time of year again....school picture time! If you are a Taylor Middle High student, you've already taken yours a couple of weeks ago. And Pine Ridge High students had their yearbook photos take this week (hopefully you came to the auditorium to get them taken!). We enjoyed seeing all of you in there! Trinity Christian Academy is next. If you are a student at TCA, don't forget to wear your best outfit, best hair-do and best smile on Tuesday, September 29! As for all of you 2010 seniors, if you haven't gotten in to at least take your formal photos for the yearbook...STOP READING THIS AND CALL TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT NOW: (386) 774-8100. If you've already taken them and still need to pick out your yearbook photo, the same thing applies to you! If after the deadline you have still not picked out the photo that YOU want to go in the yearbook, our lovely staff members here at Hansen Fine Portraits will personally pick out your yearbook photo ourselves...and we really don't want to have to do that. So come get that done NOW! :)

Back to school, back to school...
Sooo, I bet I'm not the only one that feels like this summer has FLOWN by...right?! T minus 4 days until the first day for all you Volusia County School students (but who's counting?). And for all you upcoming seniors out there (specifically Pine Ridge, Trinity and Taylor High Schools) who haven't come in for your senior portraits...time is running out! MOST of you should have received a letter in the mail that starts out with "Dear (your name), Our records indicate that you have NOT yet taken your senior portraits...". Please take this letter seriously and call us as soon as possible to schedule your appointment. We are giving everyone until September 12 to get in and take your yearbook photo. You may take the yearbook picture one day and come back at a later date for your casual senior photos...but those sharp-looking tux and drape photos must be taken before Saturday, September 12 to meet your schools deadline. If you book your session between now and August 31st you will receive 25% off your session fee. After August 31st, there will be NO additional savings given. And remember, to choose the yearbook portrait you would like, you will need to schedule a preview appointment time during which you will be able to view all of the portraits taken during your session and make your yearbook selection. This appointement also allows you to sit with a portrait consultant and determine which package would be best for you and your family. Flexible payment plans are available to ensure you have the opportunity to receive the portrait package that best meets your needs.

Calling all seniors of 2010!
A very important message to ALL Taylor High, Pine Ridge High and Trinity High Seniors of 2010 from your friendly HFP Blogger:
We are asking that all seniors that wish to be in the 2009-2010 yearbook for your high school, PLEASE come in before August 1, 2009 to get your yearbook photos (drape for girls and tux for the guys) taken. The deadline for these photographs is fairly early in the year for your yearbook staff and we want to make sure that everyone is the yearbook. And remember, if you book your appointment for any time in July, you will receive 25% off of your session fee. So please give us a call! (386)774-8100
All other schools (DeLand, Deltona, etc.) there is no deadline for your portraits if you take them here, although you DO have to go to your contracted yearbook photographer for the yearbook photos...but you can always come to us for your casual senior portraits (and we ALWAYS retake your formal yearbook photos just so you can have that option as well). School is out!
So, yesterday was the last day of school! Congratulations everyone- you made it through another (sometimes torturous) year of school. And a special shout out- Welcome to your senior year class of 2010! (I heard it called "class of dime" this week. Haha.) Everyone should have received our senior information packet by now (if you haven't, please give us a call: 386.774.8100) We ran our 50% off One-Day Sale last week -which turned into a One-Week Sale haha- and it turned out to be QUITE popular! Thank you to everyone that booked appointments and congratulations on being ahead of the crowd. We will be running a 25% off sale if you book before the end of July in a few weeks. But just between you and me, you can call now and get in on that deal...but remember: your session MUST BE PREPAID, so have a credit card ready. Make sure you look through the "SESSIONS BROCHURE" and figure out which "experience" you want and how many extra outfits you need! (And um, check out that "Famous Five" session!? What a deal, people...what a deal.)
Families- We are planning on doing something special just for you later on in the year, so check back later and make sure you look for that.

Summer is upon us...
And the count down begins! Only 21 more school days left of the 2008-09 school year (at least for underclassmen anyway. You lucky seniors have even less than that...).
We have lots of exciting things coming up here at Hansen Fine Portraits. Tomorrow night we will be at Pine Ridge High and Trinity Christian Academy taking pictures of everyone in their beautiful (and handsome) prom attire. Be sure to get your picture taken. Believe me...this might be the last formal dance you attend to just dance and have fun. And who doesn't want to remember the second biggest night of their senior year with professional portraits taken by our wonderful photographers?!
Congratulations to our new "Senior of the Month": Jonathan Nadreau! Be sure to head back over to our website (www.HansenFinePortraits.com) and check out his awesome session. LOVE that saxophone! What a way to really bring some personality and individuality into your senior portraits.

Time flies when you're busy!
Hello again ladies and gents! It's been quite a while since I last blogged. The staff here at HFP has had quite a few busy weekends lately. We shot all 27 DeBary Little League teams one Saturday (a very long day in the sun! talk about starting off your spring break with a farmer's tan. haha.) and then we shot all the ballerina's at the rehearsal of Dance P.A.D.'s production of Cinderella this past Saturday! The costumes were all so beautiful! And this Saturday we are off to another baseball adventure. Anyway...
Note to the Class of 2009!
Seniors! If you have not already gotten graduation announcements, do NOT put it off any longer. If you have had your senior pictures taken here at our studio, you should've gotten some information on our graduation announcement special. Please take advantage of that! For one thing, they come with all your favorite photos on it (which means that your announcement is DIFFERENT than anyone elses!) and we have four AWESOME templates to choose from (not just ONE design for every senior like the company you have to buy them from). The price on those is going up soon...so fill out that form and get it in our hands as soon as possible!

Start thinking about when you can come in for your senior pictures. Figure out when family vacation is and pencil in a possible date to take those once-in-a-lifetime photos at Hansen Fine Portraits! Make sure you get in EARLY. We will be releasing a one-day sale date that you will get 50% OFF A SESSION OF YOUR CHOICE. The earlier you come in the summer, the better. Once the 2009-10 school year rolls around, time will be VERY SHORT for you to get in. Also, start picking out those perfect outfits, props and hairstyles. You'll want to look your best...because these will forever be your senior pictures.
Now, for the exciting part: NEW SPECIALTY ITEMS! We now offer a wide variety of products that are NEW this year. Personalized lisence plates (with your photo and name on it-COOL!), coffee mugs-with your mug on it (for those avid coffee-drinking parents of yours), Art Series Composites (a multi-image collage- similar to what we were doing...but better!), key chains, mouse pads, photo magnets (for your fridge or locker!) and....the product we are all most excited about: our RE-VAMPED SENIOR SLIDE SHOW! Love is in the air!
Well, it's February (already?!). Which means Valentine's Day is just around the corner. And for all you guys that have absolutely no clue what to get your special someone...take it from me: Make an appointment to get professional pictures taken of the two of you at Hansen Fine Portraits! Believe me, all girls LOVE to get dressed up and looking all pretty and then stand in front of a camera. Especially with someone they care for. It's the perfect gift! Then, after your session you can come back in and get all of your friends and family a beautiful photo of the happy couple (plus one for both of you!-an 8x10 looks great on the night stand or an 11x16 for your wall!).
